Responsibility for implementing economic, environmental and social topics lies with the CEO. The CEO works in close consultation with the Chair of the Supervisory Board’s Corporate Strategy and Sustainability Committee, which oversees the Company’s sustainable orientation for the Supervisory Board.
The Group-wide Sustainability Strategy and implementing measures are selected and monitored by sustainability officers at headquarters and in each of our plants. Responsibility for sustainability is additionally ensured at the highest level by directly involving top management at subsidiaries. In this way, goal setting and implementation are delegated from the management level to functional heads. The Sustainability Obeya Team develops and assesses the feasibility of cross-functional ideas for sustainability projects
