What specific measures does WashTec take to ensure that the supply chain is environmentally and socially sustainable?
Our company takes a variety of measures to ensure that our supply chain is sustainable:
1. supplier selection: When selecting suppliers, we ensure that our partners comply with strict environmental and social standards and are committed to our Code of Conduct for Suppliers.
2. transparency: We attach great importance to transparency in our supply chain. This includes regular audits and reports on the origin of our raw materials and the working conditions at our suppliers.
3. reduction of the CO2e footprint: We optimise our logistics to minimise CO2e emissions, use environmentally friendly means of transport wherever possible and are working on making our entire supply chain climate-neutral step by step.
4. fair labour conditions: We require our suppliers to respect labour rights, ensure fair wages and safe working conditions. This is ensured through regular inspections and partnerships with NGOs.
5 Resource efficiency: We promote the use of renewable energy and sustainable materials in production and take care to minimise waste and maximise recycling opportunities. We expect the same from our suppliers.
6. continuous improvement: We are in constant contact with our suppliers to develop new sustainable practices and improve existing ones.
How are suppliers assessed to determine whether they fit into WashTec’s supply chains?
This is analysed with the support of a software solution, among other things. The software includes a risk overview that combines abstract risk scores and concrete risk analyses based on alerts. The information obtained in this way helps to identify suppliers with potential.
Suppliers with a high risk score are assessed in more detail, e.g. through audits, or replaced by suppliers with a lower score.
