Who at WashTec is responsible for the daily sustainability efforts?
WashTec utilises every opportunity in its own operational activities to maintain and further develop economic, ecological and social values. Responsibility for the implementation of these topics lies with the Executive Board, which has appointed a Sustainability Officer to achieve the targets set. Together, they liaise closely with the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Committee for Corporate Strategy and Sustainability, who oversees the company’s sustainable orientation within the supervisory body. We also make every employee aware that they are also responsible for sustainable behaviour.
The “Sustainability Team” plays a special role in our sustainability activities, developing cross-divisional impetus for sustainability projects or reviewing submissions, assessing their feasibility and monitoring their implementation in regular review processes.egleitet.
Does WashTec work with a third-party provider for its ESG strategy?
The sustainability strategy is developed internally by the sustainability team and approved by the entire Management Board as part of the Sustainability Committee of the Supervisory Board. We were advised and supported by an external consultant for the preparation of the sustainability report and the implementation of the GRI requirements.
Not all companies are certified to ISO14001 and 50001. Why not?
The locations that have not undergone an official certification process are treated in our internal processes in accordance with the Integrated Management System as if they were certified. We apply the same standards across the board. This means that the identical audit processes are also carried out.
